Judaic Experience
Every day at Camp Emeth, we infuse programming with Jewish values and culture. Each Friday, the entire camp celebrates Shabbat with song’, Israeli Dance, programming with the Shaare Emeth Rabbis and Cantor, and other special programs, such as field trips and concerts.
Every other day throughout the week, campers have several daily activities in which they engage Judaism in exciting and active ways. Each group has Shiur, a twice-weekly program where campers learn about Jewish values, Jewish traditions, Israel, and Hebrew. Both units have a unit song session each afternoon. During the song session our staff leads campers in Judaic music that is energetic, upbeat, and full of spirit and meaning. Many campers remember their favorite camp songs and request them year after year. Campers also learn about Israel on a daily basis from our Israeli Shaliach who is a Israeli young adult who has recently finished serving in the Israeli army and has come to the United States for the summer to work at our camp through the Jewish Agency Shaliach program.
