some of which can be used throughout the U. S. Orders are placed on the 10th and 20th of each month, with pick up (usually) within 5 business days. We have Dierbergs, Shop n’ Save, Starbucks, Panera, AMC Theaters, iTunes and Whole Foods available in the Temple office all the time.
The Caring Committee of Shaare Emeth strives to fulfill the Jewish value of g’milut chasadim, acts of love and kindness, by recognizing and responding with compassion and love to significant moments of both joy and pain in the lives of Shaare Emeth congregants. Shiva Committee: Members visit houses of mourning and deliver our R’fa-ei-nu book of healing prayers and readings.
Bikkur Cholim: Visiting the sick. Members send notes of healing and well-wishes to congregants who were in the hospital.
Gutteh Neshamah: Good Soul. Volunteers pay regular visits to Shaare Emeth members who now live in nursing homes.
Hineynu/We Are Here: For our newest project, members work together to meet the needs of congregants who are in crisis with compassion and love and to serve as surrogate family for congregants who do not have a local support network.
Mitzvah Meals: Members provide and deliver meals to people who have returned home from the hospital or some other medical treatment (in conjunction with SEEDS).
Simcha Notes: Notes of Joy. Members send notes of congratulations to people who are celebrating a simcha (such as a special birthday, anniversary, or birth of a new baby).
