The Kehillah program....
Building our community one experience at a time
Kehillah means community.
The Kehillah program is exclusively for 7th – 10th grade students and their families. This program is designed to foster community among our students while giving them opportunities to explore Judaism in ways that are engaging and meaningful. The Kehillah program consists of two elements. The specific Core Curriculum taught in their classrooms, and Chai Experiences, which are additional learning offerings throughout the community.
In addition to the Core Class Curriculum, students will participate in a minimum of 6 Chai Experiences during each religious school year. These community experiences can be selected from a list of volunteer opportunities, extended Jewish learning classes, youth groups, or mitzvah projects. These ongoing and upcoming opportunities will always be available on the Kehillah webpage under Chai Experiences. Families are also encouraged to meet with the new Jewish Family Life Engagement Coordinator, Marci Diamond to help you create your own meaningful Chai Experience.
We hope that by empowering our students to create these positive Jewish learning experiences they will become more engaged in the Shaare Emeth congregation, and the Jewish Community at large.
